Ventilation

Natural Air Ventilation Inlet

NATURAL AIR VENTILATION INLET

Air inlet vents enable natural ventilation to prevent the accumulation of dangerous fumes, vapors, potential accelerants, and dust. Equipped with exterior louver and interior screen, air inlets help remove harmful contaminants from the environment. All vent openings are outfitted with UL-listed fire dampers that are rated for three (3) hours.

Mechanical Fan Forced Vent

MECHANICAL FAN-FORCED VENT

The process of mixing and dispensing chemicals can produce harmful, toxic, and flammable fumes, smoke and dust, so proper explosion-proof ventilation is vital on the job-site and any industrial setting. Our electrically powered fan-forced mechanical vents are designed to make six air changes per hour with fresh air at a rate of no less than 1 cubic foot per minute.

ELECTRICAL LOAD CENTER

Standard UL-listed single phase, 3-wire, 120/240V 100-A load system effectively and efficiently distributes electricity throughout the unit.

Explosion-Proof Receptacle

RECEPTACLE (EXPLOSION-PROOF)

UL-listed receptacle is rated for Class I, Division I, Groups C & D hazardous locations and accommodates one electrical appliance. Connection is not included.

Climate Control

AIR CONDITIONING

Explosion-proof, UL-listed climate control is rated for Class I, Division II, Group A, B, C, and D. User controls the temperature setting with the interior controller. Unit fan motor is resistant to corrosion. Hermetically sealed overload with an exterior switch prevents electrical current from jumping gaps.

Side Mount Refrigeration, Chiller or Freezer Units

SIDE-MOUNT REFRIGERATION, CHILLER, OR FREEZER UNITS

Side mount refrigeration units are available in capacity ranges to meet a wide range of temperature-controlled requirements. Temperature and humidity control are available for almost any standard application. Automatic Operation with Pre-set, thermostatically controlled systems and electric defrost cycles hold desired storage temperature differentials. All units are self-contained and require only an electrical hook-up. Units are designed for out-of-the-way installation with side-mounting on the exterior of the chemical storage unit so no floor or other storage capacity is restricted with the installation or operation of refrigeration.

Explosion-Proof Convection Heater

HEATER(S), CONVECTION (EXPLOSION-PROOF)

Convection explosion-proof heater/s help maintain the proper chemical consistency of volatile and expensive hazardous materials. Rated for Class I, Division II, Groups C & D hazardous locations. Consult authority having jurisdiction to ensure compliance. The heater’s NEC Operating Temperature Code is T-2A and is rated for hazardous atmospheres with auto-ignition temperatures above 536° F (280° C).

HEATER(S), FAN-FORCED (EXPLOSION-PROOF)

UL-Listed user-adjustable thermostat provides optimal internal temperature control of storage locker container with a fan-forced, explosion-proof heater. Rated for Class I, Division I and II, Groups C & D, Class II, Division I and II, Groups E, F, and G, hazardous locations. The heater is rated for hazardous atmospheres with auto-ignition temperatures above 329° F (l65° C). The heater’s NEC Operating Temperature Code is T-3B.

Explosion-Proof Incandescent Lighting Component

INCANDESCENT LIGHTING COMPONENT (EXPLOSION-PROOF)

UL-listed explosion-proof incandescent light fixtures provide optimal internal visibility. Fixtures meet classifications set forth by Class I, Division I, Groups C & D hazardous locations ratings. Surrounded by a heavy-duty housing and protective metal guard. UL-listed light switch operates interior lights. The photoelectric cell is installed to automatically control the fixture if used as exterior light.

Lighting Component - Standard

LIGHTING COMPONENT (STANDARD)

Standard incandescent light fixtures are congruent with standards set forth for operating in non-hazardous locations. Light fixtures meet the specifications of interior and exterior locations. Comprised of die-cast aluminum and complemented with a heat-resistant glass globe that is secured by a metal guard.

Interior lights activated by exterior UL-listed light switch. A photoelectric cell is installed to automatically control the fixture if used as exterior light.

An optional exterior manual switch can be provided at the customer’s discretion.

LED Lighting Component - Explosion-Proof

LED LIGHTING COMPONENT (EXPLOSION-PROOF)

LED Light fixtures are UL-listed, Explosion-Proof, and are rated for Class I, Division II, Groups A, B, C & D hazardous locations. Class II, Division II, Groups F & G, Class III, Class I, Zone 2, Groups IIA, IIB, IIC, Zone 22 (ANSI/UL 844). LED’s components are suitable for both interior and exterior for use in hazardous locations, with US Marine Outside Type and Wet Location design. Low-profile, lightweight design with Heavyduty, ⅜” thick die-cast safety cable attachment points. Toolless, cage-clamp terminal block, and captive junction box cover, attached by a nylon-coated stainless steel cable. Field replaceable LED circuit boards and drivers with quick disconnects. Adjustable mounting bracket with 60° range of motion and nine locking positions and an impact-resistant clear lens. LED designed for operation in -40°C to 65°C Ambient Temperatures.

The UL-listed light switch can be used in both indoor and outdoor settings. The switch is rated for Class I, Division I, Groups C & D hazardous locations. A general-purpose UL-listed light switch is located on the right-hand end wall unless otherwise specified. Toggle lever to up position to activate lights. Toggle lever to the down position to turn off lights. Universal switch controls all lights.

Non-Explosion-Proof Lighting & Fan Switch

LIGHTING & FAN SWITCH (NON-EXPLOSION-PROOF)

A general-purpose UL-listed light switch is located on the right-hand end wall unless otherwise specified. Toggle lever to up position to activate lights, and toggle lever to the down position to turn them off. A single universal switch will control all lights unless specified otherwise.

PORTABLE EYEWASH STATION

Gravity-fed portable polyethylene design provides 15 minutes of continuous flow for emergency removal of dangerous chemicals. The unit can be easily installed on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. Meets specifications of ANST Standard Z-358.l-l998.

Combination Shower/Eyewash Station

COMBINATION SHOWER/EYEWASH STATION

A combination shower/eyewash station fountain offers a convenient, versatile approach to emergency chemical situations. Galvanized intermediate pipe and fittings, floor mountain flange, and high-impact plastic bowl are included. The external vendor will supply an eyewash drain. Meets ANST Standard Z-358.l-l998.

SPILL CONTAINMENT SHELVING

Innovative storage shelves provide added spill containment capacity and sump system management by collecting spills, should they occur at the storage source. This shelving can capture small spills before the spill reaches the high-volume chemical storage sump where cleanup can be a more costly and difficult operation. Having to clean a containment sump can impact the ongoing use of your storage during cleanup–unit the spill is cleaned and the unit is operational again.

Miscellaneous

PARTITION WALLS

Interior non-load-bearing separation walls safely segregate non-compatible materials of differing classifications. Spanning the distance between the ceiling and floor of the secondary containment system, open-mesh walls separate dangerous and expensive inventory. Entry doors are optional.

SENSORS & DETECTORS

Explosion-proof and non-explosion-proof volatile fuel and smoke detectors come standard for pertinent classifications of hazardous material. Available in both visual and audible alarm format.
