US Hazmat Storage manufactures prefabricated chemical storage buildings and lockers for flammable, combustible, corrosive, and specialty inventories. Choose fire-rated or non-fire-rated construction, then size the room around drums, totes, pallets, or process equipment. Every building ships from Boone, North Carolina with containment, documentation, and a path to NFPA 30, OSHA, EPA, and local fire-code review.
Buildings

Chemical storage buildings
Prefabricated hazmat buildings sized for drums, totes, and process workflows.

Fire-rated chemical storage
2-hour and 4-hour fire-rated buildings for flammables stored near occupied space.

Non-fire-rated chemical storage
Compliant outdoor storage when separation distance replaces a fire rating.

Custom chemical storage
Engineered-to-order buildings for mixing, dispensing, climate, and odd footprints.

Drop-over buildings
Set a compliant enclosure over existing tanks, pallets, or process equipment.

Climate-controlled storage
Heated, cooled, and humidity-managed rooms for temperature-sensitive chemicals.

Pre-engineered buildings
Standardized modules with documented load, sump, and electrical packages.

FIRESAFE models
Named FIRESAFE sizes from 8×10 to 8×40 with documented drum capacities.
Lockers & containers

Hazmat storage lockers
Outdoor lockers with integral sumps for 2-drum through multi-drum inventories.

Fire-rated hazmat lockers
1–4 drum fire-rated lockers when you need rated construction in a compact footprint.

Custom hazmat lockers
Lockers configured for access, shelving, electrical class, and chemical compatibility.

Explosion-proof storage
Classified electrical packages for flammable vapor atmospheres.

Explosion-proof lockers
Compact classified lockers for solvents, thinners, and extraction chemistries.

Connex / ISO conversions
ISO shipping containers converted with sumps, lining, ventilation, and listings.

Hazmat container storage
Portable containerized rooms for remote sites and staged projects.

Equipment storage
Modular rooms for pumps, generators, and process equipment that must stay dry and secure.
Specialty & support

Lithium battery storage
Fire-rated rooms planned for thermal-runaway risk, detection, and suppression.

Duplex modular storage
Paired modules that separate incompatibles while sharing a delivery pad.

Secondary spill containment
Bunded floors and sumps sized for EPA and SPCC secondary containment.

Parts & accessories
Doors, ramps, shelving, detection, and electrical upgrades for installed buildings.

Rental chemical storage
Short-term compliant capacity for outages, turnarounds, and construction.

Questions facility teams ask
When do I need a fire-rated chemical storage building?
Use 2-hour or 4-hour construction when the building sits close to occupied space, property lines, or other structures and the authority having jurisdiction will not accept outdoor separation distance alone.
What is the difference between a locker and a building?
Lockers are compact outdoor rooms, typically for a handful of drums. Buildings are walk-in or forklift-served rooms for larger inventories, tote handling, mixing, or climate control.
Can you convert a shipping container?
Yes. Connex and ISO conversions add sumps, lining, ventilation, electrical, and listings so a container becomes a chemical storage room instead of a dry box.
