Customizable Hazmat Lockers for Every Industry and Application
Our custom hazmat storage lockers are designed to safely store flammables, corrosives, oxidizers, pesticides, paints, or process chemicals—indoors or outdoors. We can integrate with existing facilities, or provide stand-alone modular buildings ready for rapid deployment.
Industries served include:
- Manufacturing
- Aerospace
- Utilities
- Agriculture
- Water Treatment
- Construction
- Energy
Each project begins with a clear understanding of your chemical inventory, workflow, and site conditions, allowing our engineering team to design a structure that’s both functional and code-compliant.
Engineered Compliance for OSHA, EPA, and NFPA Standards
When hazardous materials are involved, compliance isn’t optional—it’s essential.
Our Custom Hazmat Lockers are built in accordance with key regulations and standards, including:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910 — Occupational safety standards for hazardous chemical handling and storage.
- NFPA 30 — Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.
- EPA 40 CFR Part 264 / 265 — Spill prevention, containment, and secondary containment requirements.
- IBC/IFC Construction Codes — For structural, fire, and ventilation compliance.
US Hazmat Storage provides full engineering documentation, including stamped drawings, structural load calculations, and fire-rating certificates upon request.
From Concept to Completion: Fully Custom Fabrication
Every locker is engineered around your workflow and site requirements. Whether you’re expanding inside an existing plant or developing a new outdoor chemical storage area, we can custom-design every aspect of your hazmat building.
Customization Options Include:
- Size & Capacity — From compact single-pallet units to multi-container modular complexes.
- Fire Rating — Non-rated, 2-hour, or 4-hour fire-rated wall and roof assemblies.
- Containment — Built-in secondary containment sumps sized per EPA requirements.
- Ventilation — Mechanical or passive airflow systems with explosion-proof fans and ducting.
- Climate Control — Heating, cooling, and humidity management for temperature-sensitive materials.
- Explosion Relief — Panels and venting options to comply with NFPA and ATEX guidance.
- Electrical Systems — Explosion-proof lighting, alarm systems, and remote monitoring integration.
- Access Control — Roll-up or personnel doors, digital keypads, security systems, and remote access.
- Integration — Designed to fit seamlessly inside production lines or outdoor work sites.
Inside vs. Outside: Custom Hazmat Lockers for Any Site Condition
Whether located inside an existing facility or outdoors under harsh conditions, our design team ensures your locker matches both your site layout and compliance zone requirements.
- Indoor Custom Lockers — Compact, insulated, low-profile designs with integrated spill containment and airflow systems for confined areas.
- Outdoor Custom Buildings — Fully weatherproof, engineered for wind, snow, and seismic loads. Optional sunshades, explosion-proof exhaust, and anchored base frames for secure placement on concrete or gravel pads.

Spill Containment & Environmental Safety
Every custom hazmat locker includes integrated secondary containment, ensuring compliance with EPA 40 CFR 264.175. Containment systems are designed to hold 110% of the largest container volume, providing environmental protection from accidental leaks or spills. Options include epoxy-coated steel containment sumps, removable galvanized grating, leak detection sensors and alarms, and optional transfer pumps for maintenance.
Fire-Rated Construction Options
Our fire-rated hazmat buildings are constructed using UL-classified wall assemblies, providing 2-hour or 4-hour fire resistance in accordance with NFPA 251 / ASTM E119 testing standards. These designs isolate flammable or combustible materials from personnel and adjacent structures while allowing critical operations to continue safely nearby.
Each locker is tested and certified for performance in accordance with FM, UL, and NFPA standards.
Turnkey Delivery and Setup
From engineering to installation, US Hazmat Storage delivers ready-to-use systems—not kits or shells. Every custom hazmat locker arrives fully assembled, tested, and ready for immediate placement. We provide forklift or crane offload support, factory anchoring guidance and hardware, electrical and ventilation setup instructions, and on-site compliance review, if requested.
